I guess John Campbell is the father per the census and the marriage certificate. I am wondering if Harvey Campbell is a relative to the Ames'. Wondered how he became the guardian unless he just wanted the kids to work his farm. I have never found the maiden name of Sarah Ames' mother. I also can't find a thing on To Barbara, my Ira Ames' wife Cornelia Palon who is listed in one census as Caroline and one census as Cornelia but the Bible says Cornelia. We are going to Tennessee and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for vacation in June and I hope to get over to western Penn in Mc Kean Co and Smethport to see if I can find anything on Sarah's parents.
