His name was Osten Kittlesen Luraas, b. 11 jan 1847 & came to the USA in abt. 1848. I "belive" his parents were Kittel Nielsen Luraas and Ingeborg Ostendr. I am not sure were his family settled when they got here, but I do know that in 1900 when my greatgrandmother Lydia J was born they were living in Springdale, Dane Co.
