It is in the 500 block of East Wilson Street at the corner of East Wilson and Blair Streets. For many years it was falling into disrepair and served as a flop house for local indigents. At the time it was called the Wilson Hotel. In recent years it has been fixed up and serves as a Bed and Breakfast. It is now called Hotel Ruby Marie. It is in what was the heart of the German business district with the Fauerbach Brewery just down the street. Unfortunately the brewery is no longer there. The area still has a distinctive German feel to it with the enormously popular Essen Haus next door.
