I don't have any special information but just looking briefly I have found Hermina Herchenhan (spelled with an N) as an adopted daughter in the 1880 census along with her sister Pauline. I assume that's the one you are referring to. Hermina (listed as Herm Herchenhan) married Herman Wiedenbeck (listed as Widendeck) on 07 Oct 1891. I have found Hermina and Herman in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses. They were in Madison for all and Herman's parents were living with them in 1900. Later just his mother was with them. The children of Hermina and Herman who appear in the census are: Olga (b. about 1898) Ida b. 20 April 1893 This does match with the SS info for Ida Seifert who died May 1986 Dane Co WI. Gerald b. 11 Jan 1896 Ernest b. 18 Aug 1897 Gertrude b. 29 Dec 1899 Herman b. 29 June 1907 The birthdates are from Wisconsin births 1820-1907. The most significant fact is the spelling of the last name. It is WIEDENBECK. This is the same spelling used in the SS Death Index listings for several of the siblings. Does this help at all or match up with the infomation you have already? Let me know if you need any of the details of the census information.
