FULTON and mother of James T., William S., Albert, Elvira, Ellen S., Alfred, Franklin, Edward E., Arthur and 3 other children according to a census report indicating she had 12 children. Those unknown three may have died in infancy. I am specifically looking for an obituary. I believe she died in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, but am not certain. She lived most of her life in Exeter, Green County, Wisconsin. She does show up in the 1900 US Census living in Madison with her daughter Elvira TORGERSON, but is mentioned in the 1896 obituary of her mother Marinda LOVELAND SILVER as being too frail to attend. I believe she may have passed away in 1905 living in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin living with her daughter Elvira TORGERSON. The death records index for the State of Wisconsin has a Sarah Fulton who died in Dane County on 15 August 1905. Volume 3, page 496. I could review it on my next trip to the state libary. Sarah is in the 1905 Wisconsin State Census. She is listed on the census and in the index as Sarah Torgeson. The census reads as follows: Ned Torgeson, age 56, head, born in Norway as were his parents. Works as a railroad engineer. Wife's name is given as Elvin, appears to be age 48, born in Wisconsin and parents born in Pennsylvania. Sarah, age 86, is listed as being his mother-in-law and her last name as being Torgeson. We know is probably an error, as it is unlikely that the mother-in-law would have the same surname as her son-in-law. Sarah is listed as being born in Pennsylvania. A widow. Madison, Dane Co., 5th ward. page 621, June 1, 1905 North Charter Street, house number is hard to see but mat be 112. I can send a copy of the census if you would like it. Please send me your e-mail address for attachments. marana@tds.net Sandie gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: HugNArm1 > Surnames: SILVER FULTON LOVELAND TORGERSON > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.dane/5771/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I am looking for any information pertaining to Sarah SILVER, daughter of Christopher SILVER and Marinda LOVELAND and wife of James T.
