Actually, Adam was your GGG grandfather. Yes they are they same blood line and the spelling of the name did get changed. Adam was married to Sarah. They had numerous children. The oldest daughter (Apolona) apparently had a child out of wedlock and this produced her son George. If you look on the census records in 1880 you will find George listed as a G son of Adam however no parents are listed for him. George was the father of Hallie and Harlie. Ira is my dad. My dad says that he remembers that his G grandmothers name was Apalona. I recently found her grave in the Cana cemetery just out of Uniontown. Her brother Adam is there also. Adam and Sarah and numerous relation of theirs are buried at Wesley Chapel in Austin. I have found that Adam arrived in America from Germany in 1836. I think I have found that he and Sarah were in Phil., Pa. on the 1840 census. If you can be of any help on this subject I would greatly ap! preciate it. Sincerely, Marsha Layman
