Naeseth has no mention of a second marriage, but that does not mean your info is incorrect. Ingeborg Torbjørnsdatter Gjesme was married 6/27/1854 at the groom's parents (Sjur Sjurson Sætre)residence. No witnesses listed, but again marriage performed by Preus. Kari Torbjørnsdatter & Ommund Nielsen...the date listed above is correct, but no location listed. Marriage performed by Preus. You stated that you thought they stayed in NY for 3 years prior to coming to Wis. You did not mention why you thought that, and I am not sure how you would be able to verify it. They came to the US in 1846 and by 1850 were in Wis....unless there is a NY census that fits between those dates and shows them in NY. Well, regardless, I cannot help you with that one, sorry.
