Emigrated from Voss, Ho, to Dunkirk two, Dane Co., WI; later to Allamakee Co., IA; then to Leon two, Goodhue Co., MN. Married, November 3, 1828, 702. Ragnild Amundsdatter Igdetveit, daughter of Oddmund Larson Igdetveit and Anna Torkjelsdatter Sausjord, baptized May 15, 1791. At least two children: 703. Amund Godskalkson Meland, born February 1, 1829. Married, Orlog Olsdatter Løken. Children: Ole, born about 1854; Martha, born about 1858. 704. Anna Godskalksdatter Meland, born i Voss, Ho, February 2, 1834. Married Lars Torbjørnson Gjesme (1846:122) born 1829, who emigrated from aurland, SF, in 1846, wit whome she is further described.
