My Franz Raemisch family had a farm which spread across these two town boundries, very close to your family. Infact, your family were sponsors for several of my ancestors. Today I was looking at the 1873 Platt Map online and wondering about these families. Would you happen to know what their crops would most likely to have been? Also, the Geo Baltes bio you sent to me from the History of Dane County ends by saying Franz was still alive and living in Baraboo, Sauk County, by 1906. Would you know, was one of the sons working the farm at that time? I see many Raemisch's still live in Dane County today. Do the own any part of the original farm? If not,what is in that location today? Are there any remnents of the family farm? Thanks for all your help in the past!
