    3. At least two generations of my Raemisch family attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Roxbury. Several years ago, the pastor of the church was kind enough to send me copies of the Raemisch church records. Unfortunately, I was too new in my research to understand the importance of keeping the name of the pastor and the church address. I don't remember how I even found it to begin with. I would now like to know more about the church. It would be wonderful to have a picture of it in the 1870s-1890s. What is the address of the church toady? I couldn't figure out from Google which St. John's it would have been. Is there a church history available? Susan Sutter County, CA

    3. The Catholic church in Roxbury has a Sauk City address. I was not able to locate St. John's in the directory. You might want to contact the Bishop's office in Madison for information about this church. It is possible the records may be there. I will see if I can locate that address. 3. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America also has Bishop's. Here is the website for the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin. I do not know if St. John's in Roxbury was a part of this synod. http://www.scsw-elca.org/ Click on contact at the bottom of the page (website) to receive some e-mail addresses. South-Central Synod of Wisconsin 2909 Landmark Place, Suite 202 Madison, WI 53713 608-270-0201 Bishop George G. Carlson I did not locate a Lutheran church in the directory for Roxbury. There are other synods - the Missouri Synod and the Wisconsin Synod. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Susan Petersen in Northern California" <Lkn4kin@comcast.net> To: <WIDANE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 19, 2006 8:39 PM Subject: [WIDANE] St. John's Lutheran Church-Roxbury > At least two generations of my Raemisch family attended St. John's > Lutheran Church in Roxbury.
