How would one go about researching a home in Windsor, Wis., to see who its previous owners were? I'm part of a research group in Milwaukee who is working with a family in Windsor, and we are having a hard time finding any information in regards to this particular location. Thank you in advance. You should be able to locate this information from the Dane County Courthouse. Write to the Register of Deeds there. The address is: City County Building Dane County Room 110 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. PO Box 1438 Madison WI 53701-1438 The website is: http://www.co.dane.wi.us/regdeeds/rdhome.htm You can e-mail the Register of Deeds if you have questions. The address is at the website and so is the telephone number. Besides land/property records one could also search the property tax records. There might be some information at the Town Clerk's office for Windsor. I hope this helps. I live just ten miles from Windsor.
