It use to have a blacksmith shop, creamery, two general stores, coal yard, church, school, dog food factory, broom factory. It was known as Burke Station back when the depot was there. I'm doing research on the Droster family. Like to hear from anyone who had relatives in that area. Some of the surnames were, Felland, Gilman, Lien, Rude, Quilty, Cook, Moehlman, Wood, Knorr, Gullickson, Frydenlund, Reiner, Harvey, O'Connell, Morhous, Nelson, Thorson, Prindle, Skrabeck ect.
