Oliver Patterson Watts was a professor at the university in Madison, WI. He was married to a lady named Mary, no children. They were in the 1930 census, but according to Family Search he married again in 1948, Stella Elizabeth Nuzum. So Mary must have died sometime between 1930 and 1948. Mr. Watts was born July 16, 1865, I believe in Maine, and died Feb. 6, 1953, I assume in Wisconsin, and is buried in Columbus, Ohio. A friend in Ohio is trying to put together burial records and obits for a very large cemetery in Columbus to be able to assist other genealogists. There was nothing in the Columbus, Ohio paper, but there was a blurp in the New York Times. He was very famous. I believe if you live within a certain district of Wisconsin, you can get obits free from the Madison Library. Could someone please ask for the obit for Mary Watts and for Oliver Patterson Watts?
