CECIL F. MAZOMANIE -- Mrs. Cecil F. Cowling, age 80, of Mazomanie, died Friday, April 23, at the Sauk Prairie Hospital. She was the former, Delia Tanner, and was born Feb. 9, 1896 in Richland County. The Cowlings farmed in the Richland Center and Mounds Creek areas before moving to Mazomanie eight years ago. They observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on Dec. 5, 1975. Mr. Cowling died Jan. 7, 1976. She is survived by three sons, Merwin, Blue Mounds, Milford; Cross Plains, and Cecil J., Arena; three sisters, Mrs. Carl (Ruby) Stoltz, Muscoda, Mrs. Harold (Hazel) Marx, Byron, IL., Mrs. D. M. (Velma) Bruard, Beloit; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the GNEWIKOW FUNERAL HOME, Mazomanie, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26. Rev. Bernard Norland officiating. Burial will be in the Mazomanie Cemetery, friends may call after 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, at the funeral home.
