Hi,? I was wondering if there are by any chance reprints of the the History of Dane County which came out in 1880.? If not, does anyone have a copy? and would be willing to look up some ancestors for me.?? I know that Richard Lowe and Amos Lowe are in the book and would like to get copies? from the book of their information.?? I am not certain if any of the following are listed but would also like to? find information on them.? They are? August Lange (wife Fanny Lowe),? George Leitch? (wife Elizabeth Lowe),? George Barrow sr? (wife Elizabeth Hughes),? George Barrow jr (wife Mary Kelly),? John Cook (wife Lucy Lowe), and William Barrow. Can anyone tell me where I can find a map that shows these places.? I think that they are all townships so I am looking for that type of map.? Names that I have found on the census records are Cross Plains,? Blue Mounds,? Mt. Horeb Village, Blooming --?, and Black earth. I am? also looking for information on Fanny Lowe Lange.? I know that she was still living with her father on the 1880 census.? I guess that some time after that she married August Lange.? I find no record of her after the 1880 census.? I am guessing that she died sometime between 1880-1900. Are there records for cemeteries that might have a date for her. My ancestors Richard Lowe (great great grandfather) and Amos Lowe (great grandfather) came from England and settled in Dane Co. Wisconsin about 1851.? Richard"s six children?produced a total of 28 grandchildren.? Amos's children produced a total of 34 grandchildren for Amos.? All were born in Dane County, .Wisconsin.? We are doing quite well with our history but have a few gaps. Thanks for any help that you can give. There is a Higginson reprint of this book available right now at an eBay store. A little pricey, but just what you're looking for and no doubt in very good condition. Rollie
