I found who I think is my great-grandfather, Friedrich August Meier in the LDS records. It shows he was born 4 Aug 1849 and Christened 12 Aug 1849 in Evangelisch, Hille, Westfalen, Preussen, Germany. It shows his father as Christian Friedrich Meier and his mother, Marie Louise Glindmeier. It also shows a brother, Christian Heinrich Meier born 6 Feb 1853 who married Dorothea Kielgast in 1876 in Middleton, Dane, Wisconsin. Do you know of the Christian Heinrich Meyer family?
