Here is his updated info: LeRoy Bunn was born in 1843 in Dix, Schuyler (which was Chemung - some say Oneida) County, New York and died in 1900 in Burns Township, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin; he married Sarah C. Streeton who was born in 1843 in Burns Township, La Crosse County, Wisconsin and died in 1934 in Burns Township, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin; both are buried in the Burns Cemetery, Burns Township, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin; married December 13, 1869 in LaCrosse County, Wisconsin. The 1860 Census for Buena Vista, Richland County, Wisconsin shows a son living with Samuel and Sarah Bunn age 17 years. LeRoy then served in the Twenty-fifth Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry enlisting in February 24, 1864, after which he engaged in agricultural work in Trempealeau County until he went to work for the Sawyer and Austin Lumber Company in La Crosse, Wisconsin, being mentioned as a valued employee and one of the highly respected pioneers of La Crosse County (pub. 1892). In the 1880 Census Leroy Bunn, wife Sara! h, and son Irving (4 b. WI) are living in Phillips County, Kansas. The Civil War Pension Index lists Leroy with widow Sarah S. being an invalid on November 23, 1883 and her widowed on July 19, 1900; the 1890 Veteran Schedule shows Leroy back in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Although he claimed Sally as his mother, she was probably his stepmother, according to family history. Sarah Streeton Bunn was the daughter of: William Streeton who was born in 1818 and died in 1895 in Burns Township, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin and Sarah who was born in 1820 and died in 1896 in Burns Township, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin; both are buried in the Burns Cemetery, Burns Township, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin – both were old and valued residents of Burns Township. LeRoy and Sarah Bunn had one son: 1) Irving J. Bunn born September 24, 1874 in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin died November 25, 1915 in LaCrosse County, Wisconsin aged 41 years, 2 months and 1 day – buried Oak Grove Cemetery, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin.
