There was a newspaper in Mazomanie at the time. It is on microfilm at the state historical society. Reel number: 1899-1903 P28305. Mount Horeb also had a newspaper. Reel numbers: 1900:Feb 1-1901:Jul 24 P70-1338 1901:Aug 1-1903:Jan 15 P70-1339 When the UW is back in session I plan on a trip there and will take a look at them.
