    3. There was a newspaper in Mazomanie at the time. It is on microfilm at the state historical society. Reel number: 1899-1903 P28305. Mount Horeb also had a newspaper. Reel numbers: 1900:Feb 1-1901:Jul 24 P70-1338 1901:Aug 1-1903:Jan 15 P70-1339 When the UW is back in session I plan on a trip there and will take a look at them. I doubt that you will located obituaries. There are no copies of any Black Earth newspapers. There may have been one in the Mazomanie Sickle that wasn't copied by the society. Another possibility Would be the Mt. Horeb paper.

    3. LOL Old crock, huh? Well, from one to another, you're totally right. And, as I stated to Loretta, this was sent to the mailing list, and Ms. Ripp will never see it. (sigh) I have added the photo to the "Lost and Found" section of the Dane County Website....hopefully others who are in too much of a hurry can find it there. 3. Just wait for the entire picture to download. It is one of very high resolution and takes a long time to download even with a high speed connection. Once the download is finished, it will adjust to fit on your screen and then you will be able to see it. I am an old crock who is never in a hurry and it seemed to go on forever even so. Patience!
