Unfortunately, although Johann WIESE's gravestone has five other names on it, there is no record of them in the cemetery listings online. Since Johann was disinterred from his first gravesite in Middleton when the cemetery was closed, there is no record that I can find of the transfer of other family remains. Perhaps their remains could not be found, or the record was lost, or some other such thing. Thanks again for your help. A couple of the names are listed on the Historic Wisconsin site as lost people. They do indeed have names of all the people buried there, and hope to find the graves. If possible, relatives could restore missing stones. My second great grandfather, Joachim, was one of the earlier ones buried there according to Mr. Reinke. You have helped me tremendously! It is a very well maintained cemetery, a guy was actually mowing while I was there, and he was taking care to not knock the stones. I did notice, that Joachims stone which has broken, is facing the wrong way, so if someone in your family fixes it, you should read it, while facing East, not West as it is currently done. I looked for the other two Virgil mentioned, and did not see there stones, so I don't know if they are missing, there are a lot of missing stones. There are two bases behind Joachims (When he is facing the right way) that are missing there monuments. would be interesting to see who they are. >From the posting on the cemetery board, the head of the cemetery association is George Reinke, and his phone number is 608- 836-8317. He could be more help in who else is buried there Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. According to Wisconsin Historical Society info, the first wife of Robert E. Stetzel was Clara Morrison and they married 11 May 1894 in Jefferson County. The second marriage was 15 Feb 1902. There is a free database to search on the website. You may order copies of records for $15.00 each. If you are a member, you get a 10% discount. I recently received items in less than a week. http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/genealogy/ Click on the Wisconsin Genealogy Index and then enter the names. I also found that one of my ancestors, RANK, was listed as RAUK in the index and after I received the items saw that with handwritten entries, the index is sometimes wrong. I am not connected to Stetzel. Good luck. Pam in TX
