Author: mrieder Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.dane/5788.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Yes, this IS a really great site, but one caution about it if you don't live in the state of Wisconsin. BadgerLink is funded by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and they've made arrangements with most of the major Internet providers and libraries in the state to provide free access to citizens of the state. If you live outside of Wisconsin, you may not be able to access these newspapers through this site. But check with your local public library. They may have their own subscription to NewspaperARCHIVE that you can use. Author: ToddFlesher Surnames: Schulz Broege Broge Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.dane/1704.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Tom, I don't know if I have any good information or not. I have relatives on my father's side who are both Schulz's and Broge's (Broege's). Interestingly enough, there are Anna's on both sides. On my father's paternal side, there was an Anna who became a Schulz when she married Albert, but I'm not sure of her maiden name. On my father's maternal side, there was an Anna Broge, whose maiden name was Butts. Interestingly enough, the Anna Broge I am related to married a William Broge; whose father was named August. I am not sure if this all related or not, but I would definitely be VERY interested to correspond to see if we can make any connections. Please get in touch (tflesher@comcast.net). Title: Hollister, Sara E. Obituary Publication: Wisconsin State Journal Date: 31 OCT 1996 Page Number: 11 Section: A Just a quick FYI. The "obits" in the Wisc State Journal are more of a "death notice" so the info is scant, but you should expect to get what you're looking for: The date of death, immediate surviving relatives, and the cemetery and funeral home. Just don't be surprised if there isn't much else. Regards, Dennis Lohr Milwaukee, WI Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
