Just signed on. I am researching my hubby's line of HABERMANN. John, George, and Anton Habermann came to Lodi in 1888 and opened a blacksmith-wagon shop, which ran until the early 1940's. I would love any information that is available. I note six Columbia County History Books on the Columbia website; are there indexes of names for any of these books? I also note a Lodi newspaper; The Lodi Enterprise. When was the newspaper estabilshed and what papers are available to research for the above timespan. Thank You! <bunnyden@sunrisenet.com>
