Hi, new to genealogy and especially this list: Researching: Frank Willard who married Violabelle Thompson in 3/23/1904 in Portage, They had a child: Norma and Violabelle was pregnant with Mary when Frank died in 1906. Frank was the school master of School No. 1 in Poynette. We have had some nice pictures of the school sent down the line. Violabelle quickly remarried O.C. Porter and he adopted both girls. Both girls went by Willard-Porter. He brought them to Chicago, where his family owned a store, Mary is my maternal grandmother. She was raised in Chicago and then moved to Oak Park, IL where both my mother and I grew up, and we are now raising our children. Thanks for any info! Ellen Plourde Oak Park, IL 60302
