This is Amy J. Ruggles, currently in Iowa City, but born + raised in California, so I won't pretend to a vast welter of innate knowledge about Clark Co. Wisconsin. My family ties there are a few great great aunts, Frieda and Mary KARELA who arrived at some time in the early 1900s and married Joe HOLUB and Charles SHRAMEK. This would all be in the Levis Township area, for the most part. I'm in touch with Frieda and Mary's daughters, but that's about the extent of my WI knowledge (I do have a conference in Madison in 3 weeks, but that hardly counts!). There's a MATOUSEK - HOLUB connection I know of (actually, to Gena's family). I've a general interest in all these families, and, being a geographer by training, a general interest in the historic geography of the area, especially the Bohemian part. [email protected]
