Mrs. Kippenhan has been a resident of the Neillsville Memorial Home for the past three years. She died at 1:30 p.m., March 27, at Neillsville Hospital. Services were conducted by Reverend Larry Davis with burial in the West Side Cemetery. Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Pallbearers were Orlin Schwarze, Norman Liebzeit, Arvin Liebzeit, Ervin Toburen, Harvey Meinhardt and Leroy Fravert. Organist was Margaret Schwarze and singers were Susan Richmond, Kathy and Ruth Fravert and Luann and Amy Horn. Mrs. Kippenhan was born July 26, 1897 in the Town of Mead. On May 14, 1916, she was married to Edwin Kippenhan at Greenwood. He died January 28, 1960. Mrs. Kippenhan received her education at the Decker School. The couple farmed seven miles northwest of Greenwood until his death. She continued tolive on the farm another four years, after which she lived with her children until entering the home at Neillsville. She was a lifetime member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ and a member of its Women's Guild. Survivors include three sons, Donald, at Memorial Home in Neillsville, Calvin at Appleton, and George Sr. at Greenwood; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph(Malinda) Hintz, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter Gladys, three brothers, and a sister. ========================= Note: there are some discrepancies with the dates in the obituary as published. >From other sources, the date of death was February 27, 1976 (not March 27). Also, the date of funeral services couldn't have been February 27 (the date she died at the Neillsville Memorial Home).
