Seeking information on my great-grandfather, John Jacob Enhelder. He was born Joness Jakob Inhelder on January 8, 1831 in Sennwald, St. Gallen Switzerland and came to the US in 1848. He fought in the Civil War with the WI, 10th Infantry, Company G and it was there that his name was mistakenly changed to Enhelder. He was married in December of 1968 to Jessie J. Davis who was known as Jessie J. Douglas. He and Jessie were the parents of seven children and a nephew. Would like any information that can be provide to fill in my blank spots.
