Mr. Jerry McLaughlin one of the old pioneers of Lyndon, passed peacefully away at the ripe age of 86 yrs 11 months 13 days. He had been in poor health for a long time but received the best care from his daughter and son-in-law Mr. & Mrs. P. H. Murphy whom he had lived with for a number of years. Mr. McLaughlin was a good citizen a kind husband, and much respected by his neighbors. Deceased was born Keenagh, Donegal Co. Ireland Feb. 15th 1815 with his family moved to Canada in 1848. After spending two years in Canada he made up his mind that he could do better in Rochester NY. where he moved and spent the next 12 years. In the year 1862 he with his family landed in Sheboygan county locating in the town of Lyndon, two miles west of Cascade WI where he has been ever since a resident. He was the father of nine children, four of which passed over the river before him and five of them still survive him. John of Washington, Dennis of Alaska, James of Adell, Daniel of Withee, Clark Co., and Mary at home, Mr. McLaughlin leaves a wife five children five sisters and two brothers and many friends to mourn his departure Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church in Cascade Friday morning at 10 O'clock Rev.
