As for the birth year of Matt Kaudy, it must have been unclear. The Neillsville City Cemetery gravestone for Matt Kaudy lists his lifespan as 1826-1916. There is also a John Kaudy (perhaps his son) 1861-1920 and Luella Kaudy 1868-1920. Next to them is another presumed couple, Elsie L. Kaudy 1899-1978 and Lewis M. Kaudy, 1898-1991. Lewis was a PFC in the US Army WWI.
