Hi, I am a newbie to the list. A Cousin of mine emailed me a obit. of a Kate Mike & I was wondering if anybody would no about her family. She was Winnebago Indian. She came to Clark Co., WI. in 1888. She married John Mike & had 12 children the surviving children were Peter, Jesse & Thomas. I got this info. from her obit. Is there an obit. for John Mike her husband? You see, I have a John Mike in my family (my great grandpa) & he was born abt. 1889 nobody knows what happened to him after he married my great grandma in Minn. 1908. I know this is a shot in the dark but I have been looking for my John Mike for over 20 years. I no that he existed because I have his marriage license (which told me nothing) & I have his picture. Hello Dena, I recognized the MIKE surname as Winnebago and also of Levis Township, Clark County, connection. MIKE may have been a commn name for the Winnebago, not sure. I looked in the Heath Cemetery Index for Indian Burial Grounds, Township of Levis, Clark. It was read in 1993. The cemetery is located in Section 30. MIKE, Josephine W. Apr 7, 1907 - Feb 22, 1961 MIKE, Jessie Allen US Army WWII, Jun 16, 1905-Jan 5, 1977 Father, John 1863-1946 MIKE, Armand N.
