Posted on: Clark Co. Wi Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/Clark/10489 Surname: LANSWORTH, MOIRLAND ------------------------- I am seeking information on John J. Lansworth, his wife Susan Moirland Lansworth, and their 6 daughters: Ida J.; Lizzie B.; Annie L.; Louella A.; Mabel A.; and Cora Alma. John and Susan brought their young family to Clark County in 1872. They homesteaded on what became a 160 acre farm in Section 14 of Mayville Township, near the Village of Dorchester in Clark County. While living in Clark County John was recorded as having been a member of the Baptist Church and the Sons of Temperance Lodge. From 1879-1880 he served as an elected Town Treasurer. I am specifically seeking any and all of the following information: * John's death date and location where he is buried. * Susan's death date. * The birth dates of their children. * Information about John's live after 1880. Anyone who can provide any of the above will be credited by name on the profile I have written about him. The profile contains additional information about his early life and his service in the American Civil War in the 15th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry - the famous Scandinavian Regiment led by Colonel Hans C. Heg. John's profile can be accessed using the link below. I thank you in advance for any and all information that you may be able to provide. Link: Link to profile of Sergeant JOHN J.
