We know my grandmother Augusta Kuster's mother was Caroline Sell. They were German Lutheran. Do any of these names or places sound familar. Thank-you Leona

    3. Posted on: Clark Co. Wi Biographies Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/ClarkBios/10685 Surname: CLAIR ------------------------- Thursday, January 20, 1910 edition of the Lena Star: The relatives and friends in Lena and vicinity will be pained to learn that the home of A. P. Clair of Willard, Wis. was destroyed by fire last Friday afternoon, with most of its contents. At the time the house caught fire, the two younger children, a boy of four and a baby girl, were alone in the building. Mr. Clair had gone to Neillsville, Wis., and the older children were at school. Mrs. Clair went to the barn to feed a calf. When she opened the door, on her return to the house, she was horrified to find the room a mass of flames. She managed to get the children out of the burning house and then call for help. Two men, who were working in the woods nearby and a few of the neighbors hurried to the scene, but it was too late to save anything but a few articles of furniture and a little bedding. It appears that the boy got to playing with matches in the kitchen and set fire to some papers, which, in turn, set fire to some clothing hanging on a line. The little boy became frightened and carried his little sister into the sitting room. The arrival of the mother upon the scene was the most timely, as a few minutes later would have been too late to save the children. The house and contents are a total loss, as there was no insurance. The family are making their home with relatives there for the present, and will doubtless rebuild in the near future.
