With the assistance of Pam, a listserv participant on GenWisconsin- L@rootsweb.com, I now know that RANTOUL is the name of a TOWNSHIP (not a city, town or village). Rantoul Township looks pretty sparse for towns...I could only find Hilbert, Hilbert Junction and Potter in the DeLorme atlas. Is there a Lutheran church in one of these towns or in a rural area of Rantoul Township that had a minister named Hermann Sagehorn in the 1880s? His name is on the marriage registration of Johann and Johanna AWE, who were married May 13, 1880. My plan is to contact that church, get info on connected or close by cemeteries and possibly find info on the parents/siblings of Johanna AWE. Her maiden name was BORMANN and the names of her parents was Bernhard BORMANN and Anna THIESSEN BORMANN, about whom I know nothing. I have lots of info on the AWEs, so my next challenge is to find the BORMANNs and the THIESSENs. I would appreciate any help. The search continues! Carol AWE Mayfield
