Chronotype 14 Aug. 1996-Obit Catherine B. Sowers, 92, of Rice Lake died Aug. 11 at RIce lake Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Jarocki Funeral Home in Rice lake, with Rev. Burley McDonald officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Orchard Beach Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Mrs. Sowerw was born March 2, 1904 in Duluth, where she grew up and received much of her education. She attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before marrying Frank Sowers. She became a full-time homemaker. She and her husband moved to Rice Lake, where he worked as an accountant and she wroete short stories and poetry. Mrs. Sowers is survived by a cousin, Mary Hudson of Hudson, FLa. Mr. Sowers died in 1975 and she was also preceded in death by a sister. Sincerely, Mary Peterson
