    1. [WIBARRON] Re: ASLIN - TUCKER
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: ASLIN, TUCKER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZEC.2ACE/1175.1.1 Message Board Post: Well, I just found another tidbit... 1910 Census for Wisconsin, Barron County, District 19 (Rice Lake city, wards 3 & 4), page 23 lists [on Phipps Ave] Dwelling number 43 as having two families: Fam #48: Tucker, Simon P., 75 yrs old, married for 55 yrs to [wife] Susan, 70? yrs old, having had 12 children, 8 of which were living (in 1910), living with [Son] Chester, 49, [grand-daughter] Susan, 14, and [grand-son] ? (can't read it very well). Fam #49: Ashlin, Henry, 29 yrs old, married for 5 yrs to [wife] Minerva, 32, having had 2 children, both of which were living (in 1910), living with [son] Raymond, 11, and [daughter] Vera, 2. Evidently, the info I had on her having a large family referred to her parents and siblings. Raymond was evidently from her former marriage, either to Leon, or her first husband (still need to coordinate the logistics on that). Vera was Henry and Minerva's child. Coincidently, the next dwelling lists a Tucker, Edward, age 31, married for 11 years to A?natie, age 30, 4 children: Arthur, 10; Iva, 8; Herald, 4; Vivian, 2. Simon P. Tucker was born in New York, as were his parents. Susan Tucker was born in Pennsylvania, as were her parents. Edward appears to be Minerva's brother, based on his proximity, his age, and the listings of his parents' birthplaces. Edward was working as a laborer in the cement trade, Henry was a carpenter, I think Chester worked in a saw mill. I'm working from an electronic image of the Census document, and of course the recorder had only average handwriting, so some of the record is not clear. Henry Joseph Ashlin was my wife's paternal great-grandfather. (Guess we got the connection, now, huh?) :^) How are you related to Minerva? Dave
