Bette Longseth Bette Longseth, 71, of Chetek died Jan. 11 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Funeral services were this Wednesday at Appleyard's Home For F unerals in Rice Lake. Spring interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek. The former Bette Benz was born to Herbert and Carol Benz on July 13, 1925 in St. Paul. On Dec. 2, 1950 she married Donald Longseth in Pine City, Minn. The couple resided and worked at Barr's Mink Ranch in rural Cameron until moving to Ladysmith in 1953. In 1964 they moved to Bloomer, and in 1984 they moved to Chetek. Mrs. Longseth is survived by her husband, Donald; three daughters, Sharon Longseth of Albuquerque, N.M., Kathy Satter of Chippewa Falls, and Carin Hellman of Little Chute; two granddaughters, and a brother, William Benz of California.
