Henry Joseph ASLIN/ASHLIN started a farm about 3-1/2 miles south of Lake Vermillion in Barron County on a 40-acre plot. Evidently, Leon took over the farm from Henry, farmed it for awhile and then married Minerva TUCKER. At the time of this marriage, Minerva was already a widow with a very large family. Circa 1906/1907, Leon was killed while driving a team of horses. In 1907, Henry married his brother's widow, Minerva TUCKER ASLIN. Henry and Minerva had one child, Vera May ASHLIN, on 27 May 1908. Minerva passed away on 26 Feb 1912. I'm still searching for more info on her. Please let me know if you come up with more evidence. I've seen listings of Simon and Susan; I don't know if there's a connection or not. It's the right area. I have access to a picture of Vera May, dau. of Minerva and Henry, from when she was about 7 yrs. old (1915). Let me know if you want to see it. Maybe there's a family resemblence that you can spot.
