Good morning. Does anyone have the transcripts for St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Rice Lake and could tell me the entry for Thomas RYAN, d. 1917. Many thanks. Joan
Hi folks! Back in 1967/68 I was the construction superintendent for the Senior Citizen Housing units that were built in Barron. Unfortunately, I was not present for the "grand opening." Are the units still occupied? Could someone living in Barron, please, do me a "big" favor? My son, Rockwell Charles Holmquist, wedding announcement was published in the local Barron newspaper. He was married on June 21, 1996. If possible, would someone, please, send me a copy of that announcement, either by scanning it or snail mail? I'm retired and live in Folsom, Louisiana, so, it's impossible for me to help myself. Thanks! And, of course, I'll pay your expenses! (:>) Ron Holmquist 133 Bienville Rd. Folsom, LA 70437

Is anyone able to do an obituary lookup in the Barron News Shield? My gr-great-aunt Eliza (Beardsley) Tucker lived in Prairie Farm in the 1880 census and died sometime after that. The index to newspaper articles says that a Mrs. Tucker (no given name provided) death notice is in the Barron News Shield, 2 Jun 1882, vol. 6, no. 37, page 5. This is followed by the obituary of an Eliza Ann Tucker on 9 Jun 1882, vol. 6 no. 38, p. 5. These may be my Eliza Tucker. If anyone is able to do the lookup, I would greatly appreciate a transcript or photocopy of these two articles. Thanks for any help! Jeff Birdsley

I am told that Bertha ASMUS married Fred LINDNER in 1909 in Rice Lake, Barron County, WI. Sorry, Diane, the only Rothmann Cemetery that I could find in Wisconsin is in Brothertown Township in Calumet Co. You might try contacting that county's mail list to see if someone from that area can help you. It's quite a distance from Barron Co. :~) Good luck, Nance diane rivet wrote: > Would anyone have MI's for Rothmann Cemetery - I am searching for > information on ASMUS and LINDNER family connections. > Diane in Saskatchewan, Canada > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
