The Grand Rapids Tribune Grand Rapids, Wisconsin, Wood County Wednesday, July 26, 1911 Death of Paul Mosher Paul Mosher, an old and highly respected citizen of this city, died on Wednesday at the home of his son, Martin at Leola, Adams county, after an illness of several months, the cause of his death being dropsy. Mr. Mosher was born in Hungary and came to this country before the Civil War, locating at Neenah where he lived for several years and then moved to Adams county where he engaged in farming for many years, moving to this city about eighteen years ago. This spring it was his desire to move back to Leola and make his home with his son, Martin on the old homestead for the remainder of his days. Mr. Mosher was past 76 years of age at the time of his death and is survived by his wife and seven children, they being Fred, Andrew, John, Mrs. James Bronson, and Mrs. Mary Lane of this city; Paul of Friendship and Martin of Leola. The funeral took place on Friday from the residence at Leola, the services being held by Rev. Mellicke of this city, and the remains were laid to rest in the Leola cemetery. Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Wood County Wednesday, February 27, 1924 OLD RESIDENT OF CITY DIES TODAY Mrs. Theresa Mosher DIES At Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. James A. Bronson, At Age of 87 This morning, at seven o'clock, occurred the death of Mrs. Theresa Mosher, 87, mother of Mrs. James Bronson, Grand avenue, with whom the deceased made her home with since the death of her husband, Paul Mosher, thirteen years ago. A stroke suffered Sunday was the cause of death. Born in Austria Mrs. Mosher was born in Austria 87 years ago last January 9th and came to this country with her husband in 1857. They settled at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and lived there for a number of years, later moving to Neenah, Wisconsin. From there the family moved to Adams county where they resided a few years until their removal to Dexterville, Wood County, Wisconsin. In 1886, the family moved to Grand Rapids and lived together until 1911 when the death of Mr. Mosher occurred. Since 1911 Mrs. Mosher has resided at the home of her daughter Mrs. James Bronson, Grand avenue. Seven Children Survive Besides Mrs. Bronson, five sons and one daughter survive. They are Paul, Friendship, Wisconsin; John, Pittsville, Wisconsin; Martin, Leola, Adams county, Wisconsin; Andrew, Woodruff, Wisconsin; Fred, Bedford, North Carolina; and Mrs. Larry Lane, Brodhead, Wisconsin. Twenty-one grandchildren are also living. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the James Bronson home. Rev. C. A. Meilieke will officiate.
