Do you also rrecognize a town called Zigkora/Zizkora/Zizkore or something like that. They also spent some time in that town before coming to America. The Layer name was originally spelled Lajer before coming to America. Lajer is not common, but is found throughout the countries of Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Bohemia/Czech Rep., Hungary, Denmark).
