His mother was Alva/Elva Rook, daughter of Earl Rook. I've followed the family backwards through the censuses, starting with 1930 Friendship, Adams County, WI. There I found Clara Rook, living with her son, Earl and her granddaughter, Alva. Any information that you could share with me would be appreciated. By the way, what is the correct name of Clara's husband? I have found it as Ahiat, A. Hyatt, Aliah, etc.
