Surnames: Coon Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.adams/2197/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Taken from the August 20, 1937 issue of the Adams Advertiser (Times) Bert COON, a old resident of the town of Adams, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1937, at the Adams-Friendship hospital, aged about 62. He underwent surgery the preceding Wednesday for bladder problems and was making a good recovery when complications arose. The cause of death was cerebra embolus (a clot of blood on the brain) Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 pm in the church at Grand Marsh, with a minister from Madison officiating. Burial was in Rock cemetery near Grand Marsh. The Times has received no info for an adequate sketch of Mr. COON's life but has gathered these few facts. He was about 62 years old and leaves a wife and one brother, the latter being Prentiss COON of Port Edwards. He belonged to the Seventh day Adventist church.
