He underwent surgery the preceding Wednesday for bladder problems and was making a good recovery when complications arose. The cause of death was cerebra embolus (a clot of blood on the brain) Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 pm in the church at Grand Marsh, with a minister from Madison officiating. Burial was in Rock cemetery near Grand Marsh. The Times has received no info for an adequate sketch of Mr. COON's life but has gathered these few facts. He was about 62 years old and leaves a wife and one brother, the latter being Prentiss COON of Port Edwards. He belonged to the Seventh day Adventist church. Surnames: Heitman, Byers Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.adams/2196/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Taken from the August 20, 1937 issue of the Adams Advertiser (Times) Phil HEITMAN dies from yellow jacket sting on August 16, 1937. Mr. HEITMAN was of Quincy and died about 20 minutes after being stung. Phil was at work with others harvesting hay at the time the incident took place. All his life he has been pecularly sensitive to insect stings which affected him more severely than in the case with most people. When stung Monday he was forced to stop work immediately and one of his coworkers started for a nearby house to get some soda, which is recognized as one of the best (palleitives ?? word is difficult to read) of that sort of injury that death came before relief of any sort could reach him. Phil HEITMAN was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charilie Heitman and was some where between 30 and 40 years of age at the time of his death. He was married a few years ago to Miss Nina BYERS, daughter of Mrs. Chris BYERS, and his home was a little west of White Creek in the town of Quincy. He was a world war veteran. It will be recalled that Monday afternoon brought the most oppressive heat that has been experienced in this section even in this very hot season and there is reason to think that heat prostration may have been a strongly contributing factor in bringing death so quickly after the yellow jacket had done its part. The funeral is scheduled to be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the church at White Creek. The Times has no data from which to prepare in adequate obituary of Mr. HEITMAN, which will have to be deferred to a later issue. Please note that I am not related to these people and am a volunteer for the Adams site. Thankyou --- Bob Schieber

Surnames: Young, Lumbar, Kenyon, Coontz, Capener Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.adams/2195/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This was in the August 20, 1937 issue of the Adams Advertiser Mrs. Hulda Parmelia Young passed away Sunday, August 15, 1937, at 3:15 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. W. KENYON in Adams. Her age at death was 92 years, 4 months and 20 days. She had been ill for about four months before her death, but had retained her faculties to the very last. Funeral services were held in the Advent Christian church at Baraboo, of which she had been a member for fifty years, the service being conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. O. COONTS. Burial was made in Walnut Hill cemetery at Baraboo. Hulda Parmelia LUMBAR was born March 26, 1845, at Moira, Franklin county, New York, where she grew to womanhood. She was married March 19, 1861 to Albert Charles YOUNG. They came to Wisconsin in the year 1865, locating in Prairie du Sac, where they lived until 1883, when they moved to Baraboo where she made her home until 1921, when she came to Adams to live with her daughter, Mrs. KENYON. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Young---two sons and four daughters. One son and two daughters preceded their mother in death. Two daughters and one son survive: Mrs A. E. CAPENER of Chetek, Wisconsin; Mrs. KENYON, at whose home she died; and Bert YOUNG of Appleton, Minnesota. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Up to the very last evening preceding the night of her death, she conversed intelligently with members of her daughter's family and with callers who came to see her, showing no impairment of her mental faculties. She had many friends in Adams, a number of whom planned and carried out a celebration of her ninety-second birthday anniversary in last March, which she greatly appreciated. Active and useful as long as health conditions permitted her activities, she made herself a valued member of the home and has well earned the rest that is now hers. Card of Thanks We wish to express our gratitude and appreciation to the friends, neighbors, North Western Women's Club, pall bearers; to those who furnished cars, for the floral expressions of sympathy and to all who assisted us in any way during the illness and death of our dear mother.__Mr. and Mrs. S. W. KENYON; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. CAPENER; Bert YOUNG. Please note that I am not related to any of these people and am a volunteer for the Adams site. Thankyou.

There are three in the Czech Republic, one of which had a hacek over the 'z'; this one is north of Plzen, west of Praha. When you figure out which one is the one of interest to you, the way to proceed is to access the records for that town. However, the trick is that the records are all in the archives THERE. So you either have to go there and read them yourself, or hire someone to do that; the archives will provide documents for those people you can name and have approximate dates for but they do not do 'research'. To find where the documents are for your town, go to http://www,ihff.at/indexstarte.htm; select gazetteer on the left hand side, then 'listing' in window on right. In new window that appears, put in Kozlany; it will list 3 of that name; if you select one in Bohmen, that is the one where my ancestors are from. THe other two are in Moravia.... Layer is not a name I recognize from Koz~lany.... but I don't know every name from that town, although I know quite a few!
