If you are planning to upgrade to Family Tree Maker 2008, you might be interested in following this thread on the New York Dutchess County list. I have to opinion one way or the other but and subscribed to automatic renewals and am concerned about some of the "changes." I hope this isn't an inappropriate use of the lists. They had 15 known children. Some migrated to MN (Clarence and Jacob C) , and Chicago (Ella Shipman and Carrie Ament), but others stayed in Adams Co, WI (Emma Thorne, William, Marietta McCaustland). I am a Haskins researcher not a descendant of this line. My interest in this family was because I believe they descend from William Peter Wintersteen and Lydia Haskins Stevens (buried in Montville, Geauga Co, OH). Lydia was the d/o Moses Stevens and Miriam/Mariam Stevens. Miriam was d/o Lydia Haskins and Elihu Stevens. I would be happy to share any of my research with Wintersteen descendants. Peter Applebee was an oldest brother of my 3rd great-grandmother Hannah Applebee. They were two of five children born to Nathan Applebee of Greene Co. IN. Peter was born circa 1802; I do not yet know when or where he died. Nor do I know the name of his mother. His father Nathan married a second time circa 1820 to a Maria Van Valkenburgh. This second marriage produced seven more children. We do know Nathan Applebee was born January 1, 1785 in Greenburgh, Westchester Co. NY, the son of Abraham Applebee and Sarah (Travis) Applebee. FYI, I have the children of Peter and Pamela (Goshlin) Applebee as Eliza, Gilbert, Henry, Jeremiah, Nathan H. and Thomas J. Applebee.
