Mr and Mrs Barney Klinzing and family of Winifred Missouri spent the weekend at the Klinzing home and the Lamieux home at Superior. Mr Klinzing is employed with the Steel Construction company of that city and this is their first visit home for several years. Mr and Mrs Mann(Helen Prine) and two sons of Spencer Iowa called on friends several days. Mr and Mrs Oscar Dahlberg are visiting relatives at Minneapolis for a week. Miss Emily Sherida has returned from Lyman lake where she has been visiting her sister and family. Mr and Mrs S B Sullivan,Mrs C S Nightengale and Elmer Mertzig attended the Sawyer county fair at Hayward. Harlow Hendershot of South Dakota disposed of his home here last week. Mr and Mrs William Oldham spent several days with their daughter and family at Turtle Lake.Mr Oldham eturned last week and Mrs Oldham is still at Turtle Lake. Mrs Paulien Limpach has moved to Maple where she is teaching the Maple school. The John Clark family have moved into the Jack Howard home. Mr and Mrs George Cosgrove and Miss Doris Smith and Sam Arris are motoring down through the New England states.They expect to be gone about two weeks. Mr and Mrs Alexander of Wascott and son, who is employed in Ashland called on friends and transacted business in town last week. Mr and Mrs Henry Ulvi of Farmington Minnesota and Mr and Mrs Al Woods of Superior were guests at the home of Mr and Mrs C J Mertzig recently. Justice V Werner U S forest ranger ws in town several days last week. Mr and Mrs Rondestevedt and son, Norman and daughter, Irene of Dawson Minnesota spent the weekend at their daughter's home,Mr and Mrs Ronald Lawler. Mr Hoyt of Gordon employed as clerk at the O D R department has moved into the former Hendershot home. Robert Dahlberg left Saturday for Eau Claire. George Hanson returned from Milwaukee where he visited his sister. Miss Alice McKone of Superior accepted a position in the O D R office last week. Mike Loch jr of Bennett, stopped here to call on friends en route to California. He has been in navy training for three months in Chicago. Previous to moving to Bennett he lived here. Mr and Mrs Jack Howard announce the birth of a daughter. Miss C Johnson left for Duluth where she spends the winter after her season as hostess at the Green Parrot tea house.
