Mr and Mrs Edwin Johnson announce the birth of a son January 21.Mrs Johnson was threatened with double pneumonia but is now much improved. Miss Mary Ryan spent last wekeend visiting relatives in Minneapolis. George W Walker,Harry Stanley and Rev Ira Ellis attended a Masonic meeting at St Croix Falls last Thursday evening. St Thresa's Altar society was entertained by Mrs Joseph Rogers last Tuesday. Miss Edna Anderson who made an extended visit in Chicago has returned home. A number of ladies of St John's Lutheran church met at the home of Mrs Herman Grosskrentz last Tuesday afternon to cut quilt blocks for the society. Misses Caryl Chapin and Effie McLeod and Glen Felland and Adolph Ellefsen spent Sunday in the Twin Cities and attended the ice palace and carnival in St Paul. The Men's club of St John's Lutheran church was entertained at the Robert J Handlos home last Monday evening. The Centuria Woman's club will be entertained by Mrs Arvid M Stack on Thursday afternoon. George W Walker and Dr J Riegel of St Croix Falls went to Rice Lake last Wednesday evening to attend a conservation meeting. Martin S Walker is ill at his home here. Mrs Walker who has been assisting in the care of Mrs Henry Hansen has returned to her home. Miss Ima Limper is now assisting t the Hansen home; Simon A Lindgren has returned home after spending several days in Minneapois.
