Mr and Mrs Harley Borgen and Curtiss and Isla Schiels of Boyceville visited their parents here last weekend. Mr and Mrs R C Ashley had as guests last week the latter's uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs M J Ide and Lottie May. Alfred Fremming is employed in Plainfield. Miss Doris Lawrence spent last weekend in Minneapolis and is now attending school at Chetek. Lewie Holt underwent an operation at the Luther hospital in Eau Claire last week. Mrs Knute Espeseth visited her daughter, Mrs Frnak Randall at Rice Lake last week. Lester Severson,Fern and Dorothy Elftman are attending high school at Chetek. Miss Ruth Bergene has gone to Spooner where she teaches in the teachers training department. The remains of Tony Nelson who died at Madison were brought here for burial at Pine Creek last Friday. Mr and Mrs Kenneth Anderson announce the birth of a daughter on September 5. Mr and Mrs Otis Blyton of near Ridgeland have bought the Mrs Emma White house occupied by the John Bonkrud family. Mrs Herman Neuman attended the funeral of her nephew Paul Kuehn at South Range last Tuesday. Halvord Running is attending school at Colfax. Barney Olsoin is ill. His daughter,Mrs Barney Hagen of Milwaukee is here helping care for him. Miss Ione Ellefson has returned home from Ridgeland where she spent the summer with Mr and Mrs Lundan Ellefson. Mrs Hvid, Minneapolis is visiting her daugher,Mrs A O Running and family. Franklin Deringer,Barron spent last week with Vernon Harstad. Mrs Milton Jacobson attended the funeral of Herman Holt in Dover last Wednesday. Dorothy Riste has retuned from a week's visit at the Emil Fremming home in Chetek and a week's visit at the Freeman Fremming home in Mondovi. Mesdames George Boettcher, Margaret Woods and Perry Kahl went to Rice Lake last Friday to get Evelyn Woods. Mrs C L Oman has been ill. Mr and Mrs Herbert Espeseth and son, Jerry of Eau Claire spent last weekend at the Carl Espeseth and Carl Moen homes.
