Mrs Paul Winnen and sons, Victor and David and daughter, Violet of Wayazata are visiting Mrs Winnen's parents, Mr and Mrs O L Welch. Allen Welch of Star Lake camp and his brother,Ervin Welch of Camp Alvin were weekend guests of their parents, Mr and Mrs O L Welch. George Knight,Rice Lake, was a guest of relatives over the week end. J G Watterston of Superior spent several days at the H E Moss home recently. Mrs Gene Smith is confined to the hospital at Rochester. Rev and Mrs Jalmer Lingren have returned to their home at Columbia, N D after spending several weeks visiting relatives and friends here and in Trego and Duluth.Mrs Lingren's parents, Mr and Mrs John Knight acconpanied them home where they will visit a while. On their way home they will visit a son, Warren Knight and family also in Dakota. Mrs Robert Tolene bruised herself badly when she fell down teh cellar stairs last Saturday. Among the out of town visitors at the meeting of the Farmer's Equity Union local held Monday evening of this week at the Odd Fellows hall were Mr and Mrs Blix,Mr Damon Judd,entertainer and J F Phillips, county president of the E U and Mr and Mrs Archie Cameron all of Soponer and vicinity. Magnus Jenson, county secretary of the E U Barronett and Mr and Mrs Carl Paffel of the town of Beaver Brook. Mr Blix will start his six weeks course of lessons of Equity Union Work in the near future. Mr and Mrs Jack Hustvet announce the birth of a daughter on August 22nd at the home of the latter's mother,Mrs Charles Cockson. Workmen are busily engaged in putting a new shingle roof on the Catholic church. Mr and Mrs Otterson and children of Blair spent the week end at the Herman Fraatz home recently. Mrs Lydia Johnson of Blair visited at the Grandlund home over the weekend. Mr and Mrs Arthur Hogan and children of Minneapolis spent the week end at the John Bos home recently. Mrs Ed Nordholm was pleasantly surprised recently when a number of friends came to help her celebrate her birthday anniversary. Mr and Mrs Charles Rivers of St Paul were recent guests at the home of Mrs Louise Bush. Lester White of Duluth was a recent guest of his parents, Mr and Mrs Peter White. Peter White who is employed at Internatioanl Falls was home over the weekend. Mr and Mrs Clarence Hawkinson of Bagley Minnesota and J E Wood of White Hall paid a visit to the W A Wood and M J Chose homes recently on their way to Minnesota.
