Mr Christianson died about 1 a.m. Thursday after an illness which had kept him from work in his barber shop most of the summer. He was unconscious for several days before the end came Pallbearers at the funeral, all past worshipful masters of Amery lodge number 258 wre James Flannigan, Charles Johnson, George F Griffin, E H Porter, W W Winchester Sr and Bert Goodspeed, the latter of Clear Lake and a close personal friend of Mr Christianson. A quarter, composed of memebers of the Eastern Star, of which he was past worthy patron, sang selections at the funeral services which were held in the Congregational church with Rev.Charles M Lee officiating. The singers were Mesdames Virginia Lynch, Helen Weaver, Minnie Johnson and Adelle Stearns. Mr Christianson was born November 5, 1877 in Ransfjord, Norway and came with his parents to New Richmond in 1889 and to Amery in August, 1897 or 39 years ago. He married Alvina Peterson June 4, 1905 and to them were born a son and a daughter, both fo whom were present when death came.They are Donald Christianson, Appleton newspaperman and Ardis, student at Sout Institute. He also had a grandchild, Sandra. Other survivors include a brother, Otto of New Richmond, N P Christianson of Duluth and four sisters, Inga of Duluth, and Mrs Melvin Olson, Mrs Arthur Skifstad and Mrs Victor Olson, all of Billings, Montana. Mr Christianson, city treasurer for three terms had three times been worshipful master of Amery Lodge 258.
