William, My husband, Thomas Edward WHITTINGTON, Jr. is a WHITTINGTON from the Deale, Maryland area. His father and grandfather were Thomas' also. His grandfather's wife was Irene CAGLE. His father's brother was a James WHITTINGTON. Deale, Maryland is in Calvert County. We have not really started researching that part of the family yet. I'm still hung up on my HUGHES line. Dear Sue, The whittingtons I am researching came from Gloucestershire and settled in N.E. PA as coal miners/workers. To my knowledge we have no connections in the South.
