I am a descendant of Benjamin Whittington from Benton County ILL. Rick Matthews

I have been looking for Whittington's from the West Frankfort area. Has anyone compiled the family tree from that area? Do they have family reunions in the area? My grandmother and her mother and brothers left that area when she was 18 years old and settled in Arkansas. Before the wagon train could leave West Frankfort, my GGF Jackson Whittington died and is buried there somewhere. He was born 25 Aug. 1852 and died 22 Aug. 1897. He married Lizzie Jane Lookinbee and there children were Delbert, Jim, David, Isabelle, Oscar, Emry and Ory. I would appreciate learning more about Grandmother's family. Still looking for the cemetery where Jackson is buried. Other family names are Martin, Lookinbee and Rogers. Thank you for your response and any guidance would be appreciated.
