In searching tor information on the parents of Sarah Alice Oliver, I have located a marriage that is a possibility. Alice's parents were Chapman Oliver and Emma Whittington. They were from either Alabama or Georgia. Alice was born 19 Nov 1850 in Georgia. Three siblings were believed to be Jimmy, Josie and Rebecca. There were at least 10 children in this family who came to Texas in 1863. The marriage I located was William C. Oliver married Elsey Whittington on 11 May 1828 in Pike County Georgia. Alice and her husband James KP SHELTON had a son named William C. Is anyone researching this family who may be able to give me more information? TNKS~~Dee Colvin
